St. Paul’s Middle School

7th & 8th Grade – Mr. Hemling

Mr. Hemling was born and grew up in Beaver Dam, WI. He is the 4th of 5 children in his family, and attended St. Stephen’s in Beaver Dam for grade school and then Northwestern / Luther Prep. in Watertown for high school. He graduated in 1996 and attended Martin Luther College, meeting his wife Sandra (Martens) there and graduating in 2001. After receiving his first call to be principal and upper grades teacher at Trinity Lutheran School in Hoskins, NE, he and Sandra became married and spent the next ten years there. Then, He accepted a call to be principal and upper grades teacher at St. John’s, Montello, WI, where he eventually completed a graduate degree through MLC in school administration. After serving St. John’s for seven years, he accepted a call to Divine Savior Academy in Doral, FL, where he taught English Language Arts in the middle school for four years. He then accepted a call to teach in the middle school grades at St. Paul’s in Menomonie, WI, and will celebrate his 25th year in the ministry by stepping into the principalship in his fourth year at St. Paul’s. Tim and Sandra have two children, Micah (14), who will be a freshman at Cornerstone Lutheran High School this coming year, and Hannah (12) who will be a 7th grader at St. Paul’s this year.
